In order to cater the educational needs of the children of transferable Central Government employees including Defence and Para-Military personnel by providing a common programme of education, Kendriya Vidyalaya No.3, Cuttack, NDRF, Mundali was established in the year 2010 as civil sector school affiliated to CBSE.The Vidyalaya was running in a temporary building provided by Kharavela Regional Training Centre of Central Industrial Security Force, Mundali, Cuttack admitted students in standards I to V.With the introduction of standards VI to IX, the first batch of class X appeared Board Examination in the year 2015.The year 2023 was memorable as the Vidyalaya moved into the present campus at Ramdaspur set up sprawling on 8 acres of land.
